Scott Seder is an attorney focusing on all areas of government affairs including regulatory, procurement and legislative matters. Mr. Seder has vast experience in government having worked in both the legislative and executive branches of Illinois government and the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Mr. Seder worked in government as a lawyer, lobbyist and policymaker in various capacities from 1996 until 2010.
Mr. Seder began his career as an Assistant Counsel to the Illinois House Speaker where he worked with House Committee Chairmen reviewing legislation and managing committee activities. From there, Mr. Seder represented the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office before the Illinois General Assembly, prosecuted serious crimes and represented county officeholders in all aspects of labor and employment matters as an Assistant State’s Attorney.
More recently, as General Counsel to the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation, Mr. Seder managed all legal matters related to the agency’s regulation of over 70 professions and 1.2 million licensees. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Seder served as Deputy Chief Operating Officer to the Illinois Department of Central Management Services where he created and implemented policies related to the agency’s procurement and personnel activities on behalf of the State of Illinois.
